Due to an upcoming retirement, our client has requested that we conduct a national search for a qualified CFO. The ideal candidate might currently be in the top finance position for a medical professional liability insurance organization or have been working in an actuarial capacity for the industry niche. Alternatively, a high level achiever with one of the Big 4 accounting firms who has medical professional liability clients could also potentially fit. In addition to the technical expertise that will be necessary for the person to be successful in the role, significant consideration will be given to cultural fit. This organization has a value system that permeates the company from the top down. This value system is in place not only in how the company deals with its own internal staff, but in its dealings with the insureds and vendors and even with the surrounding community. The right person for this job will be a person who operates in every aspect of life with honesty and integrity. Further, there is a huge emphasis on providing superior customer service at this organization. The CFO for this company must recognize that he/she is there to serve the insured in a prudent and fiscally responsible manner. He/she must support the organization's financially conservative philosophies and be able to communicate with physicians in a way they will appreciate and understand.
